Alicia Keys Reigns at No. 1 on R&B Radio With ‘So Done’

How thrilled must Alicia Keys be that her liberating song “So Done” featuring Khalid has reached number one on the R&B radio?

It’s her second song from the ALICIA album era to end up at the pinnacle on this radio format. She previously held the title for “Show Me Love,” featuring Miguel.

Of course, with the new chart position on R&B radio, it makes a strong case that the Ludwig Goransson-produced track will take the number spot on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart for the tracking week of March 13.

If so, she will break her newly acquired tie with Toni Braxton for the most Number-ones. Both artists house 11 chart-toppers on this same chart.

“So Done” has logged more than 24.4 million listens on Spotify since its release in August 2020.

The following month, Keys released her seventh album to much anticipation. She re-released the LP in December with two additional tracks.

ALICIA was declared one of Rated R&B’s 30 best R&B albums of the same year for her ability to create a “genre-bending world of pioneering R&B and alt-pop soul with clear imprints of trendy stylings.”

In other news, Keys has an untitled docuseries premiering on YouTube later this year. It is supposed to take an intimate look at her life. She is also set to appear on DMX’s upcoming album.
