Kodak Black is once again trying to take credit for Megan Thee Stallion’s success.
The embattled rapper is stirring more controversy after insinuating that Megan owes him for making a “whole career” off the catchphrase “drive the boat,” which he claims he invented. Taking to Twitter, Kodak fired subliminal shots at the Grammy-winning rapper.
“Make a whole career off of taking one Lil piece of my shit & I B Coming For My Money,” he tweeted.

Kodak has previously claimed he was the first to use the catchphrase, which has become synonymous with Megan. He referenced a March 2020 interview on “Strahan, Sara & Keke,” where Megan was credited as the originator of “drive the boat.”
“Baby ain’t have to go out her way to give my credit but the opportunity came to her instead when they asked that question on tv smh and they be on some Black Lives Matter shit y’all don’t even be fa this shit fr,” tweeted Kodak.
Instead of money, he also suggested another form of compensation. “Or You Know What Ima Just Let Him Drive My Boat 🤷🏾♀️ & Call It Even,” he added.
Megan’s boyfriend Pardison Fontaine seemingly responded to Kodak’s accusations. “BIG Ws !!!! .. REALLY AINT HEARING ALL THE OTHER SHIT,” he wrote.
Kodak has claimed he was the mastermind behind several hip-hop trends including spreading money on Instagram. He even took credit for JAY-Z’s latest hairstyle, reposting a fan who said that JAY-Z’s hair was the result of his influence. However, others were quick to point out that he wasn’t the originator and that the look was an homage to famed artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
