H.E.R. Shares ‘Fight For You’ Video

H.E.R. has released a video for her now Oscar-nominated powerful anthem “Fight For You,” which is lifted from the Judas And The Black Messiah soundtrack.

Set in 1971, the video speaks of social injustice, police brutality, and alters between the film and H.E.R. as an added character.

On Monday morning, just hours after H.E.R. won two Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year (“I Can’t Breathe”), the singer/songwriter learned that she was nominated for Best Original Song at the 93rd Academy Awards.

“I couldn’t believe it. You know, I feel like I’m part of history, I’m making history, and I’m doing what I love. So, it’s all really a blessing,” she told Deadline. “To be spreading such an important message, and hopefully, leading this generation into some changes, I pray that’s what I’m doing.”

“Fight For You” was produced by D’Mile and co-written by H.E.R. and Tiara Thomas.
