Saweetie Confirms Breakup with Quavo, Hints That He Cheated

Saweetie is officially single.

Following rumors of a split with Quavo, the “Best Friend” rapper has confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship. Taking to Twitter on Friday (March 19), she addressed the breakup, which comes three years after they began dating. She revealed the relationship fell apart after he was unfaithful.

“I’m single,” began Saweetie. “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”

Saweetie said she has been over the relationship for a while and is excited for the future. “I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation,” she added.

The breakup comes after fans noticed that the couple had stopped following each other on Instagram. Amid the rumors, an interview surfaced with Saweetie on REVOLT’s “Respectfully Justin” where she said she “doesn’t like liars.” She also opened up about a man who “broke her heart” and said “lying is the last straw” in a relationship.

“I’ve always been in a relationship, faithful, Cancer shit,” Saweetie said during her appearance.

Saweetie, 27, and Quavo, 29, began dating in 2018 after Quavo slid into Saweetie’s DMs. They were most recently seen together on Valentine’s Day, but haven’t been photographed together since. Quavo was known for buying Saweetie lavish gifts including a Birkin bag and a Bentley.

The newly-single Saweetie is moving on. She has announced a collaboration with Demi Lovato for the latter’s upcoming album Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over.
