After headlining his Trapsoul Series livestream concert on Thursday night, Bryson Tiller joins Ty Dolla $ign for the remix of his single “By Yourself.”
On the updated track, which includes the originally featured acts Jhené Aiko Mustard, Tiller comes in on the second verse to celebrate independent women.
“Yes, you did it by yourself, by yourself / Sneaked into the bag, but you know I got plans to spend my money on you / But you got your own girl / Yeah, that’s what I admire,” he sings.
Ty Dolla $ign explained the meaning behind the song last fall. “‘By Yourself’ is an ode to all the amazing women, especially all single women and the single mothers, who do this thing called life on their own,” he shared. “Especially now more than ever. Ladies if you’re handling your responsibilities by yourself, just know we see you and appreciate you!”
The original version of “By Yourself” appears on Ty Dolla $ign’s latest album, Featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
