Protest the Hero’s Rody Walker Debuts Hilarious Solo Track “Hey Rody”

Protest the Hero singer Rody Walker promised that he’d be releasing a solo album this month, and he’s making good on that promise: his Home Made is now scheduled for release this Sunday, March 28. Why this Sunday, March 28, and not Friday, March 26? I assume because Friday is the industry’s standard day for releasing new music, a Sunday release ensures he’s not lost in the crowd.

Or maybe he’s just being weird. Who knows.

ANYWAY, Mr. Walker has also debuted a song from Home Made, called “Hey Rody,” and it gets two thumbs up from this blogger. It’s basically a catchy AF meta country western song about being a young dude in a band and people telling Rody he sucks: the first chorus, I shit you not, features these lyrics —

Hey Rody, could you put any less effort into your stage presence?
Honestly, I think I could!
Hey Rody, could you put any less effort into your stage presence?
I don’t know, let’s fuckin’ see, pal!

Also I think it might have a recorder solo. Don’t quote me on that. It could be a flute I guess.

The point is, this song is awesome and makes me quite stoked for Home Made.
