Body Count Release Fan-Created Sock Puppet Video for “The Hate is Real”

Fresh off their Best Metal Performance Grammy win for the song “Bum-Rush,” Body Count have revealed the winner of their contest to create a video for “The Hate is Real.” And I’m more than a little thrilled to proud that it’s a 25-year-old from Brooklyn, Seby Martinez.

Martinez’s video utilizes sock puppets. And yeah, Body Count as sock puppets is definitely funny.

But also… this seriously took a lot of thought and effort. Little wonder Martinez won.

Watch the video below.

Both “Bum-Rush” and “The Hate is Real” appear on Body Count’s 2020 release, Carnivore. It’s out now on Century Media.
