With springtime here, Elhae links up with Masego for a breezy groove titled “My City.”
On the melodic tune, the R&B gents compare their time spent with women to an enjoyable car ride. “When you’re with me, know you’ll never lack / Like a round trip ticket, always runnin’ back,” Elhae sings in the second verse.
Elhae shared how his collaboration with Masego happened. “I called Masego on FaceTime one day asking if he wanted to be a part of this next project. We’ve always talked about working but never got a chance to really make it happen due to scheduling and what not,” he said press statement. “Fortunately, and unfortunately due to COVID, time was all we had. Masego had the beat and the hook done already so it was up to me to provide the rest. I reached out to my good friend Ari to help as well and it was done. I’m really happy with how this song came out and I hope people enjoy it.”
“My City” is the follow-up to Elhae’s previous singles “Separated,” which dropped in February,” and 2020’s “Fun Fact” featuring Rick Ross.
Elhae is expected to release his new album later this year via Motown Records.
