Bryan-Michael Cox has worked on albums for R&B greats like Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Usher, and the list goes on. Now, the legendary producer/songwriter/DJ is shifting focus to his own project.
Cox announced on Twitter that his new project, Muse, will arrive this spring. According to Cox’s tweet, Muse will be released in multi-song installments.
“So the project is called #Muse and it comes out in May,” Cox tweeted. “It’s gonna be a series of 3 packs throughout the year.”

Cox, who was recently spotted in the studio with Ari Lennox and H.E.R., has been teasing a project for a few years. In 2016, he told Rated R&B that he was working on a body of work titled The Thirteenth Letter: Vol. 1. It’s likely that the title evolved into Muse, since it begins with “m,” which is the thirteenth letter in the alphabet.
Since then, Cox has shared a few tracks including “Verbatim,” “Karma,” “One Day” featuring Robert Glasper and “Only You.”
In 2020, he dropped his heartwarming jam “Forever” and appeared on the socially-charged anthem “Change.”
