Tetrarch, the young band that puts the “meh” in “nu-metal,” have released a new single and video, “Negative Noise.” As a piece of music it’s whatever; it starts out aping Slipknot’s “Heretic Anthem” and then starts doing a Korn/Static-X thing and then I turned it off because a man has limits.
Having said that, there is a fun drinking game to be played here: do a shot every time the singer or guitarist looks up. You will be dead drunk by the first chorus. You don’t even have to count the parts where they’re reclined and have no place to look.
In fact, these two look up with such frequency that I almost wonder if they don’t have the Memento short-term-memory loss thing and there was something written up there reminding them “YOU ARE A BAND YOU ARE MAKING A MUSIC VIDEO KEEP PLAYING.”
Look down to see the video. Tetrarch’s new album, Unstable, comes out April 30 on Napalm Records. It’s available for pre-order here.
