DMX is fighting for his life after suffering a heart attack from a drug overdose.
TMZ reports the incident occurred at his home on Friday (April 2) night. The 50-year-old rapper was rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York where he was taken into the critical care unit.
Sources say DMX has “some brain activity”, while another source says he’s in a “vegetative state”. Doctors have cautioned he may not make it.
DMX has had a long history with battling drug addiction. His last stint with rehab was in 2019 after completing a year in jail for tax evasion. X, who resigned with Def Jam, is in a midst of a comeback and is currently working on his next album. Last year, he participated in Verzuz with Snoop Dogg.
