A distorted rework of the Beatle’s McCartney III track “Slidin’”
Ed O’Brien (EOB) has released a new remix of Paul McCartney’s McCartney III track “Slidin’.” It was recorded for McCartney III Reimagined, a forthcoming remix LP with contributions from Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, and Blood Orange, among others. The Radiohead member worked with Paul Epworth to rework “Slidin’,” using the Beatle’s own “Helter Skelter” as an inspirational “reference point.” Have a listen to that below.
EOB released his solo debut Earth last year. Prior to the “Slidin’” remix, McCartney shared the Dominic Fike version of his song “The Kiss of Venus.” McCartney III Reimagined is out April 16 via Capitol.
