Rising singer Langston Bleu makes his formal introduction with his debut project titled Bleu.
Speaking on Bleu, he wrote on Instagram, “When I decided to come back to music I knew it had to be different. I knew I had to come harder and I had a lot to prove especially to myself. This body of work saved my life and I’m so happy you guys are enjoying it. My heart is so full.”
On the 7-track EP, Bleu gives listeners a piece of his mind as he opens up about experiences pertaining to his dating life. He begins with “Love on the Rocks,” where he tries to metaphorically wash away the hardships of his relationship with alcohol. After one too many drinks, he finds himself aroused and ready to hit the sheets on “1-800-Bone.” Though he’s emotionally detached, he’s looking for a good time on the flirty jam “Numb.”
Unfortunately, there isn’t a fairytale ending on the EP. He wraps up Bleu with the title track, where he speaks on how his relationship failed due to false perceptions. “We played ourselves by tryna be something else,” he sings.
