Black Rob Passes Away At 51

R.I.P. Black Rob

Black Rob has passed away in Atlanta on Saturday (April17) due to kidney failure. He was 51.

Black Rob’s passing comes just a week after DMX’s passing where he offered his condolences from a hospital bed, causing concern among his fans.

The tragic news of his passing was confirmed by his former labelmate Mark Curry. “Rob passed away about an hour ago,” Curry said in an Instagram post. He added, “I don’t know where to begin, but I thank everybody for the donations. We’ve lost a lot of legends and we can’t afford to lose anymore”.

The former Bad Boy rapper was best known for his 2000 hit “Whoa” off his classic Life Story. In 2006 he was sentenced to seven years in prison for grand larceny and was released in 2010. He had a history of health issues including a series of strokes in 2015. Our thoughts and prayers to Black Rob’s family and friends.
