August Alsina Receives Five New Certifications From RIAA

A recent audit of August Alsina’s discography shows he has five new plaques from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on backorder.

First up on the list of findings are gold awards for the Jeezy-featured track “Make It Home” and “Kissin’ On My Tattoos.” Another column tacks another platinum honor to both “No Love” and his breakthrough single “I Luv This Sh*t,” featuring Trinidad James, bringing each to double-platinum status.

That said, now seven out of the 17 songs on the deluxe edition of Alsina’s 2014 debut album Testimony have earned some level of RIAA certification.

“Song Cry,” taken from his 2015 sophomore album This Thing Called Life, can now have a seat at the gold table for reaching sales of more than 500,000 equivalent units.

Last year June, Alsina released his long-awaited third album, The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy. It was rolled out with a five-part documentary. Revisit the album here
