Dvsn Inks Management Deal With LVRN

Dvsn, the dynamic duo of vocalist Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, has signed a management deal with Love Renaissance (LVRN), Billboard reports.

The freshly-inked agreement is a mutual one as LVRN’s co-founder and head of A&R Justin Baiden recalls being a fan of the pair since their debut album, SEPT 5TH.

“I think for us, it’s really about expansion, but expanding in a way that makes sense to what’s true to our core and our identity,” said Baiden to Billboard.

He continued by noting that he knows Dvsn is known for incorporating the elements singular to their homeland of Toronto, but he also hopes to bridge the sound akin to the core of Atlanta for their new music, which is already in the works with Jermaine Dupri and Sean Garrett behind the boards.

“If anybody knows, Atlanta is a very huge cornerstone in modern R&B. I think for us to bring them to meet our vibe and take what they do and add a little bit more southern flavor [will be great],” Baiden continued.

Prized artists affiliated with LVRN such as 6LACK and Summer Walker have seen the fruitful effects of staying true to the Atlanta R&B sound, gaining hits on diverse radio formats, collecting multiple certifications and other prestigious placements.

With the boutique label leading the charge at a managerial level, Dvsn looks to maximize their growing fame, considering the success of last year’s acclaimed A Muse in Her Feelings.

The LP, which was later reissued in deluxe form, was positioned in the top ten on Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of 2020 list. The pair also acquired a set of career-first gold plaques.

Dvsn continues to be signed to Drake’s OVO Sound.
