After a brief hiatus, Marc E. Bassy makes his return with not one but two new songs.
“Atmosphere” is a light-hearted, carefree groove written by Bassy and produced by Count Bassy and Nic Nac. Here, Bassy’s voice is a melodic blend of gentle and soothing, mellowing out the worldly chaos and calling listeners to savor the moment and ambiance with someone near and dear.
In “Zone,” another self-written track, Bassy, unattached, sings about taking on the many pressures of love and life by his lonesome. Employing a form of machine soul, he breaks down how his resilience has kept him strong without the help of anyone but himself.
Both new songs follow Bassy’s chilly track “Cold” from December 2020. His last album PMD was released in 2019 and reissued as a deluxe edition last year in January.
