Listen to Q’s New Song ‘If You Care’

Emerging singer Q has released a studio version of “If You Care,” which he first performed for his COLORS. The song was produced by Q and co-written by Steven Marsden.

The wavering track discusses the feeling of being loved from afar and wanting that love to be reciprocated. For Q, this could be physically, mentally, or emotionally.

Alongside the single, Q shared a cinematic video directed by Loris Russier. The video follows a young Black ballerina working diligently to nail an audition. Her life both inside and outside of dance is explicitly highlighted throughout the clip. She is seen caring for a woman in what could be low-income housing, praying for a way out. Her relationship with a fellow ballerino is also on display.

Additionally, the song’s abstract meaning is illustrated in the video. You can see what we mean by watching it above.

Aside from “If You Care,” Q debuted a live version of “Garage Rooftop” in January. It was lifted from his The Shave Experiment project.
