TeaMarrr Gets ‘Specific’ With Duckwrth on New Song

It has been said in more ways than one that a closed mouth doesn’t get fed. That’s precisely why TeaMarrr wants her bedroom bully to be “Specific” about their sexual expectations and openness on her new song. Innovative rapper Duckwrth turned in a poetic verse for the sex-positive song.

Cruising at a pace fit for top 40 and rhythmic airwaves, “Specific” is a sensual mid-tempo dance bop where TeaMarrr desires for her man to go all out to top her impressively high freak number.

Speaking about the inspiration behind “Specific,” TeaMarrr tells Rated R&B, “I was in a relationship where I couldn’t understand my partner’s specific wants, needs and desires but mine were very clear and consistent.”

She added, “He could not keep up nor speak my love language fluently my love language is filled with words of specific affirmations and I NEEDED him to be specific but instead of yelling I tried to make it cute.”

When asked about what moved her to collaborate with Duckwrth, TeaMarrr commented, “He knows how to bend [and] twist these euphoric sounds. He’s like a psychedelic in human form kinda like the production so it was just too fitting not to ask!”

“Specific” is the lead track from her untitled future project. The follow-up to last year’s praised Before I Spill Myself EP is set to arrive later this year via Raedio and Atlantic Records.

At the top of the year, TeaMarrr released a noir-inspired visual for her SiR-assisted track “Tick.” Rewatch it here
