Eric Bellinger is never one to keep his fans waiting for music for too long. The singer-songwriter flexes his consistency muscles again with a new song titled “Shine On The World.” It’s the first offering from his forthcoming LP arriving later this summer.
With the new uplifting song, Bellinger gives doubtful listeners batteries to charge their light in hopes of tunneling through dark times to fulfill their dreams. While the production keeps the same uptempo energy that he’s known for, he incorporates his gospel roots with a backing choir to drive the message home.
The Loris Russier-directed video follows Bellinger’s journey to the music business. It starts with a young Bellinger being told his gift shouldn’t be used to pursue life as a worldly artist. Doing the opposite, he is cast from the church and finds himself trying to balance celebrity and faith. He is driving and praying in solo scenes before he returns to his home church as an adult.
“It’s an incredible thing to truly feel like I’m stepping into my purpose. From the look to the sound and everything in between. It’s time for the ultimate Eric Bellinger experience,” said Bellinger in a statement about his new single and forthcoming album.
Before “Shine On The World,” Bellinger released his collaborative album I-800-HIT-EAZY, with Hitmaka. The project followed his last solo album Eric B For President: Term 3, released in fall 2020.
