In the latest episode of their ongoing Anthrax 40 for 40 anniversary retrospective video series, Anthrax take a look back at their first album with John Bush, Sound of White Noise.
There are plenty of interesting stories from the band members themselves — including Bush, Scott Ian, Charlie Benante, Frankie Bello, and Dan Spitz — but the most interesting part may actually be the last six minutes, in which a series of all-star guests discuss the record. To Anthrax’s credit, they allow this discussion to show both sides of fandom; some of the musicians interviewed, like Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Rob Zombie, are enamored of White Noise, while others, like John 5 and Living Colour’s Vernon Reid, are less so (albeit in a polite manner, natch). So if you’re one of the people who doesn’t love Bushthrax, at least you’re in good company.
