I’m way late to board the Employed to Serve train, but I feel as if it hasn’t fully left the station; I can still jump on the back and hitch a ride, right?
I got hip to the band’s last album, Eternal Forward Motion (2019) towards the end of its cycle, but I’m right here for this one: Employed to Serve will release Conquering in September, and its first single, “Exist,” just dropped… and hooooo boy, it’s a fun one!
Employed to Serve occupy the sweet spot between groove, thrash and death metal that so many bands have attempted but so few have nailed. They absolutely friggin’ nail it, in case that wasn’t clear already.
