Watch Big Sean’s ‘Freshman 10 (Freestyle)’ Video

Big Sean takes a trip down memory lane in his new video for “Freshman 10 (Freestyle).”

In honor of the 10th anniversary of his debut album Finally Famous, the Detroit MC goes back in time to 2010 when he was a young MC hungry for success.

In the nostalgic clip, he rides around L.A. in an old school drop-top while reflecting on his XXL Freshman Class cover shoot, which featured Wiz Khalifa, Nipsey Hussle, J. Cole, and Jay Rock, who introduced him to Kendrick Lamar.

“Real shit, I think we was the best class that ever came through,” Sean raps alongside throwback footage of him and his fellow Freshmen. “Looking back, I wish I would’ve lived in the moment more, but I guess that’s what memories are for.”

The Hit-Boy-produced “Freshman 10 (Freestyle)” can be found on the deluxe 10th anniversary edition of Finally Famous. The remixed and remastered album also features Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, John Legend, and Pusha-T.

“This is the album that changed everything for me,” recalled Sean. “It took me from being a mixtape artist to going from city to city and hearing myself on the radio.”
