The wait is almost over.
Drake has revealed that his sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy is in the home stretch. During his surprise appearance on Sound 42’s “Fry Yiy Friday” on SiriusXM, Drizzy provided an update on the long-awaited project, which is nearing completion. In fact, he is headed back to Toronto to mix the album this week.
“Uncle Drake’s on his way back home to mix the album so she’s got a bunch of new tracks coming her way,” said Drizzy in response to OVO Noel’s comment about his daughter wanting to hear Drake’s music.
Added Champagne Papi, “Definitely on the way home to reunite with my dog and just finish this thing up.”
Last month, he said that the oft-delayed album would be out by the end of summer after being delayed due to a knee injury.
“I’m just grateful to be back on my feet. I went through a little bit of a tough stretch with an injury and I’m back in tip-top form,” he said during a previous episode of OVO Sound Radio. “CLB is currently being cheffed in every way possible…I’m back in the studio with 40 tough. I’m just really excited about the music that we’re making and I feel like I’ve locked into a zone where I’m really trying to execute on a project that’s fulfilling for my soul.”
The Certified Lover Boy made headlines this week after he was photographed on a date with Johanna Leia. He rented out Dodger Stadium for their romantic dinner on the field.
