In Flames have been forced to drop off the highly-anticipated upcoming tour featuring Megadeth, Lamb of God, and Trivium “in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic” — which we can safely interpret to mean that the band weren’t gonna be able to travel to the U.S. from their native Sweden (they were they only non-American band on the bill).
They’ll be replaced by the equally-lauded Hatebreed — which is to say, the tour isn’t losing any potency just ’cause In Flames dropped off.
For better or worse, this means Hatebreed have had to drop off of this year’s Furnace Fest, which is scheduled to take place in Birmingham, Alabama from September 24-26. That fest still has plenty of awesome acts, booked, though, include Converge, Killswitch Engage, Cave In, Andrew W.K., Darkest Hour, Unearth, and Knocked Loose, among others.
Here’s In Flames’ statement regarding dropping off the tour…
