Gallant Shares ‘Dynamite’ Video Featuring Brandy

Gallant has shared an explosive new video for his Neptune highlight “Dynamite” featuring Brandy.

Bennett Johnson’s direction is riveting from every angle of this visual, beginning with Gallant, clad in plush bleached fit, singing atop of a Los Angeles skyscraper as a thunderstorm rages on over the city.

The camera lens soon pans to Brandy, found in a showroom belting her verse as rescue choppers address the present eruption of a volcano. The two soon unite on the building top, with their backs resting on each other, singing fearlessly amid catastrophic circumstances.

Gallant, who shared with Rated R&B how much Brandy influenced him early on, was blown away that she decided to collaborate with him. “The Brandy collaboration is like the craziest thing to me — the fact that she was down to do that.”

He also revealed to Rated R&B how much the Vocal Bible, along with Toni Braxton, inspired him to embrace his unique voice.

“I feel like nobody was sounding like Brandy, especially on the first two albums. It’s like a raspy kind of tone, but then it’s fragile yet strong at the same time. It’s a bunch of series of paradoxical qualities that she somehow put together,” said Gallant.

“Dynamite” appears on Gallant’s most recent project, Neptune. Released in March of this year, the incredible EP featured some of his most stellar songs, including “Comeback” and “Relapse.” Aside from Brandy, the project featured contributions from VanJess and Arin Ray.
