Celebrating the 25th anniversary of their fourth full-length, Girls Against Boys announced the vinyl reissue of House Of GVSB. The group are also hitting the road early next year for their first U.S. tour since 2013.

House Of GVSB was originally recorded in 1995, following the release of Cruise Yourself. Featuring stellar metal progressions merged with grunge overtones, the noise-rock outfit created unique sounds and intricacies. The LP was Girls Against Boys’ last with Touch and Go Records.

Leading up to the announcement, the group shared photos while in the studio during the album’s initial recording.

“It’s been a labor of love to compile this double-vinyl reissue with Touch And Go Records,” lead vocalist/guitarist Scott McCloud exclusively tells AltPress. “We were honestly sharing photos of old tapes in order to find all the source material for the second disc of singles, B-sides, comp tracks… Bob Weston killed it, pulling it all together.”

One disc will have the House Of GVSB album, whereas the other will include a series of B-sides, compilation tracks and unreleased singles. It will be available this winter via Touch And Go Records.

While the band are currently working on new material, they appreciate the effect the album had on them when it was first created. With a tour planned for February 2022, they also look forward to being onstage again soon.

“In the process, we as a band could almost experience again the thrill of making this stuff,” McCloud says. “The idea that we get to travel and play again together is somewhat beyond the beyond. We must have done something right in the past to be this fortunate.”

Tickets for the anniversary tour go on sale Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. local time via Girls Against Boys’ website.
