Korn Cancel Show Amidst Confirmed Covid-19 Case

Korn have become the latest act in the heavy music community to cancel at least one show mid-tour after a case of Covid-19 cropped up within their camp.

The band’s performance last night, August 14, at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA was canceled earlier in the day when the band broke the news on social media. It’s not known publicly whether the infected person is a member of the band or someone on their crew.

The band stated:

“Unfortunately, there has been a confirmed COVID-19 case within the Korn camp. The safety of our artists, crew, venue staff, and fans are our top priority, so we must postpone the show tonight.

“We’re deeply sorry for this unfortunate last minute news, but please hold on to your tickets while we work to get your rescheduled date sorted ASAP with Live Nation and The Pavilion at Montage Mountain. Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe out there. We’ll be back soon.”

The band’s next scheduled show is scheduled for Tuesday, August 17 at Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY. Korn haven’t yet announced the status of that date, but it likely hangs in the balance depending on the Covid-19 test status of other individuals on the tour who may have been exposed to the infected person, as well as the health of that person.

Korn are just one of a growing number of acts who have been forced to cancel shows while the Delta variant ravages the U.S., including the Foo FightersBuckcherryLimp Bizkit and Mammoth WVH.

Ra Diaz of Suicidal Tendencies has been filling in for Korn on bass while Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu takes a break to address some “bad habits” and take care of his family.
