Like its title, H.E.R.’s current single “Come Through” featuring Chris Brown enters the top 10 on urban radio this week, courtesy of more than 10.5 million audience impressions. She is the only female R&B artist holding court within this ranking and the second R&B artist overall.
The Oscar and Grammy winner’s prior urban radio smash was “Damage,” which held the top position in March. It made her the first R&B act of 2021 to lead the rap-dominated airplay chart. The platinum-selling song also peaked at No. 1 on R&B radio ahead of releasing her long-awaited debut album Back of My Mind.
The album’s first-week sales of 36,000 equivalent units secured H.E.R. a reign atop the Billboard R&B Albums chart. It also helped the superstar earn a top 10 on the Billboard 200, making it her very first.
Last month, H.E.R. sized wall space to hang up four new plaques from the RIAA. She also booked an impressive lineup of big names in R&B to perform at both the Brooklyn and Bay Area editions of her self-curated Lights On Festival.
