TETRARCH explore the feeling of being an outcast with “Stitch Me Up”

Metal quartet TETRARCH dropped a new music video for their track “Stitch Me Up.” They also celebrated the announcement of their upcoming tour with Atreyu.

The “Stitch Me Up” video follows the release of the band’s sophomore full-length, UnstableThe LP allowed the band to grow musically, moving into a sound that crosses genres as well as aesthetic sensibilities.

“We started out as a straight metalcore band,” guitarist Diamond Rowe previously shared with AltPress. “When we started writing Freak, for some reason, we were writing these different influences coming in—really creepy, skin-crawling guitar sounds and different tempos. More groove and not just fast, thrash-y stuff. We had some stuff that was heavy, some stuff that was more melodic and creepy, but that was just naturally what was coming out as we were writing.”

The new imagery is the band’s first music video since “Negative Noise” was released this past April. Set in a high school, the cinematic visual focuses on the feelings of being an outcast and the emotions that come with not fitting in.

“You can sometimes feel like a complete freak when it seems like no one else sees things the same way that you do or has common interests. [B]ut finally meeting up with people that are like you can make you feel safe and whole,” Rowe says in a press release. “It reminds me a lot of all of us in the heavy music community and how we may be looked at in strange ways, but when we’re all together, we are just one big happy family sharing our love of music.”

TETRARCH hit the road supporting Atreyu this fall. A full list of their upcoming shows is listed below, with tickets available to purchase here.
