Duckwrth Releases New EP ‘SG8*’

Genre-bending artist Duckwrth has released an eight-song project titled SG8*. It’s the follow-up to his 2020 album, SuperGood. The EP features appearances from Jordan Ward (“Like Up Time”), Destin Conrad (“Clueless”) and Phabo (“4K”).

On SG8*, which includes production from Loshendrix and WaveIQ, Duckwrth explores the bittersweet feelings associated with post-pandemic life. While he touches on the joys of the somewhat return to normalcy, he also opens up about some of the anxieties that have stemmed from living through a pandemic.

“Now that things are opening up and we’re living in this post-pandemic state of mind…no one is touching on the new anxieties. The truth of the matter is we shake the dice every time we’re around people,” Duckwrth said in a press release. “And now I’m contemplating whether I’ve always struggled with anxiety or if the atmosphere change has bred a new thing in me.”

He added, “Deep down I still just want to have a good time without fear because we clearly don’t know when this will end. SG8* represents pressing play and hearing something that’ll make you feel good.”

Duckwrth will join pop sensation Billie Eilish on her Happier Than Ever, The World Tour on March 8, 2022, in Birmingham, Alabama. He will play in select cities across North America until April 8, 2022.
