TMZ reports that two children of Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, aged five and ten, have filed for a domestic violence restraining order against their father.
Brody Dalle, Homme’s ex-wife, filed for the restraining orders on behalf of ten-year-old Orrin and five-year-old Wolf. Homme and Dalle separated in November 2019 and divorced a month later. They had been together since 2005.
Orrin alleges that his father drinks in the car while driving the kids around; that there was a recent incident where Homme grabbed his private parts; that Homme engages in physical abuse such as flicking Orrin’s ears, hitting his head, poking his chest and throwing things at him; and that Homme calls Orrin fat and makes threats against Dalle’s current boyfriend.
The younger Wolf also claims Homme drinks and drives, calls his mother curse words, grabs their necks and ears, and that he’s scared to go to his father’s house.
The couple’s third child, Camille, now 15, was not mentioned in the TMZ report.
After Dalle’s initial restraining order request on behalf of her two kids was denied in downtown L.A., she tried again in a Santa Monica court which also denied the action. No reason for the denials was reported publicly.
Dalle previously filed a restraining order against Homme in May of 2020, claiming violent and alcoholic behavior. Homme filed a counter restraining order in return, alleging Dalle was intentionally showing up to events to trigger a reaction out of Homme that would put him in violation of the initial restraining order.
Homme has a history of violent behavior outside of his family. In 2017, he kicked a photographer in the head at one of the band’s concerts as well as a security guard. He later apologized for the incident.
