Hot Topic has announced it will be partnering with Veeps to put on a virtual benefit for Mental Health America. The event will raise money in honor of World Mental Health Day.

The Hot Topic Foundation has been supporting mental health programs and music education since 2004. Besides Mental Health America, it has partnered with nonprofits such as Little Kids Rock and Notes For Notes. Since its creation, the foundation has donated $20 million to nonprofit organizations.

This year’s concert will be hosted by Way and feature a number of artists such as nothing, nowhere., DE’WAYNE, Meet Me @ The Altar, Pom Pom Squad and more. Also in the lineup is recent Alternative Press cover star Eyedress.

Of the event, President and CEO of MHA Paul Gionfriddo says the concert is designed to help connect people to much-needed mental health resources.

“The pandemic, and everything that has followed, has had a significant impact on people’s mental health,” Gionfriddo says. “The key to ensuring mental health is to understand the signs and take action early on to prevent a crisis. The Mental Notes concert will help get much-needed mental health resources into the hands of people who find Hot Topic to be a safe space and who may need mental health support. We are grateful to be a partner in this effort.”
