Marc E. Bassy Shares New Album ‘Little Men’

Marc E. Bassy is back with a new album. Little Men is the second full-length effort under his New Gold Medal imprint and his first since 2019’s PMD, which was reissued a year later as a deluxe.

The 15-song LP features contributions from Syd of The Internet and Cory Henry. It also includes five previously-released tracks, such as “Bowie” and “Atmosphere.”

The blurred song, “Nothing in This World,” suggests he wants a fling to come to an end. “Future Love,” his calming collaboration with Syd, details an undefined relationship between two individuals.

The album title was inspired by small mind, big mind theory taken from Zen Buddhism, said Bassy.

He continued, stating, “Little mind operates out of and is in service of ego, wrapped up entirely in its desire, which drives so much of the world I live in. And it leads to some dark tendencies. Some of the things I usually try to be better than or stay away from, I ended up getting deeper into – infidelity, addiction, lying, toxic work and romantic relationships. This is the story of trying to get to the other side of the ego – which is real joy, comradery, and triumph.”
