Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the song’s parent album, the video is a playful pastiche of Stranger Things and E.T.
The Weeknd has marked the 5th anniversary of Starboy with a new video for album track “Die for You.” A knowing pastiche of Stranger Things and E.T., the Christian Breslauer–directed short revolves around a kid who escapes an experimental science facility, befriends a sympathetic companion, and uses telekinesis to see off a wave of mysterious agents who are out to get them. Check it out below.
The Weeknd has also unveiled a fashion capsule with Seventh Heaven, which goes on sale at 3 p.m. Eastern today (November 25). He received three nods, for work on other people’s songs, in the 2022 Grammy nominations.
