Beloved annual music retrospective Spotify Wrapped is here. Each year, Spotify offers users a chance to revisit their favorite songs and most embarrassing guilty pleasures, pulling together your most-played songs, artists and podcasts.
This year’s Wrapped goes even further. Wrapped Blend allows you to compare your Wrapped with your friends’ own top streams. There is also TikTok support, a new in-app game, messages from artists to fans and more.

Spotify also hosts a number of playlists gathering up top-performers across a number of genres. Their Global playlists reveal some of the most successful artists and songs of the year, including Taylor Swift, Drake, Justin Bieber and Lil Nas X’s “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name).”
Alternative music received its own year-end attention courtesy of Spotify’s regular rock playlist, Rock This. Rock This Presents… Best Rock & Alternative Songs Of 2021 zeroed in on a number of alt musicians, including Avril Lavigne, KennyHoopla, Maggie Lindemann and recently announced AP cover stars Bring Me The Horizon.
They also highlighted songs such as twenty one pilots’ “Shy Away,” Måneskin’s “I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE,” WILLOW and Travis Barker’s “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l” and Halsey’s “honey.” Many others, including Jack White, Sueco, YUNGBLUD and Machine Gun Kelly, also found a place in the list.
