In a recent Bloomberg conference, the company’s CEO Ann Sarnoff spoke about the franchise and hinted about what could happen in the future. “We would love to develop more original Harry Potter series…,” Sarnoff says. While she didn’t say any new films are in development, Sarnoff also gave a hint about how that might look. Warner Brothers would need to be strategic going forward. “Whatever we do has to be true to the canon and true to the ethos of the Wizarding World and who Harry is.”
This news comes after it was confirmed that Harry, Ron and Hermoine would join forces once more in an HBO Max anniversary special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will also be joined by other original cast members such as Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Bonnie Wright and many more.
