Legendary super-producer/songwriter Troy Taylor has worked on massive hits and fan-favorites for the best in music, including Aretha Franklin, Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston, Trey Songz, and others.
Now, after a lengthy career of writing and producing on various levels, Taylor puts the focus on himself, releasing a five-track EP titled The 90’s Demos.
“For the first time ever in my career have I released anything with me vocally in the front,” wrote Taylor on Instagram. “A time with no auto tune, protools, computer tricks, copy and paste and fancy efx. The early 90’s young Troy Taylor doin what he loves.”
Bringing the golden era of R&B back to the fore, Taylor flirts with the skill to create timeless slow jams like the satin-sheet opener, “One Thing Will Lead To Another.”
“To Need Her Means More” is a quintessential regretful R&B tune, where Taylor lets his pride get in the way of getting to the heart of his woman.
With The 90’s Demos, Taylor proves that this period of music can still hang today and sound just as great.
