Green Day teases possible new music from London recording session

Could it be? A holiday miracle in the form of Green Day teasing new music?Green Day posted a short video on their Instagram Dec. 19, featuring audio that fans are speculating is new music from the band. The post features clips of the bandmates at the legendary RAK Studios in London, seemingly in the middle of recording. You can check out the Instagram video below.

The year 1972 can be seen in text cut between the clips. This could be a reference to a new song or album title, or it could be alluding to the fact that all three members —Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool — were all born that year.

The band’s last album, Father Of All Motherfuckers, came out in 2020.

What do you think the message means?
