Taylor announced that the new Slipknot album, a follow-up to 2019’s We Are Not Your Kind, will drop this year. He also said that there will be updates on his horror–comedy movie, Zombie Versus Ninja, as well as “secret ‘homecoming’ plans” coming soon.
In December, Taylor told Lou Brutus on HardDrive radio that the new album was “about 90%” done. He also revealed that he liked the new album more than the last. “It’s really good. I’m really, really stoked on it,” he says. “I actually like this one more than I like We Are Not Your Kind, and I loved We Are Not Your Kind.”
Additionally, Taylor spoke to Frightmare HQ in March 2021 about his horror project, saying, “One of the things that I’ve always wanted to do is create a movie — write a movie and then see it from soup to nuts; from pre-pro to walking the red carpet. That’s been one of my biggest dreams.”
