Just less than two months following the fatal shooting of Young Dolph, two arrests have been made in connection to the rapper’s murder.
Fox News reports 23-year-old Justin Johnson was taken into custody in Indiana and is facing first degree murder. The second gunman, 32-year-old Cornelius Smith, was also arrested and charged for first degree murder.
Last week, a warrant was issued for Johnson by the Tennessee Bureau Of Investigation (TBI), U.S. Marshals, and the Memphis Police Department with a $15,000 reward leading to his arrest.
Days prior, Johnson, a Memphis rapper by the name of Straight Drop, took to his social media handle to announce he was turning himself in, but he never did. Johnson was also on TBI’s most wanted list and has a long history of arrests including his involvement of a triple shooting at a Memphis bowling alley in 2017.
Young Dolph was shot and killed last November while inside a Memphis bakery after two men opened fire before fleeing in a white Mercedes. He was 36.
