Machine Gun Kelly and WILLOW team up for ”emo girl”—listen

Machine Gun Kelly has released the single “emo girl” featuring WILLOW. The track comes ahead of his new album mainstream sellout, due out March 25 via Bad Boy/Interscope.

MGK previously teased the release of the song on his TikTok. He also sat down with producer Travis Barker to tell him that the new album’s name, which they previously got tattooed on their arms, would be changed from born with horns to mainstream sellout.

“emo girl” is another addition to the growing pop-punk revival. The lyrics describe all of the classic accouterments of a scene kid: fishnets, black boots and cigarettes. It also starts with a clip of Megan Fox saying, “I am a God,” from the cult-classic film Jennifer’s Body. A lot of the lyrics seem to allude to Fox’s character in the film: a beautiful, entrancing monster with a dark side.

MGK will headline the 2022 NHL All-Star game in Las Vegas Feb. 5. He will also team up with Halsey for a show at Crypto.com Arena Feb. 10.
