Razzie Nominations 2022: LeBron James, Diana, the Musical, and a Whole Bruce Willis Category

Stick out your tongue and blow a salute to the best of 2021’s worst. The Golden Raspberry Awards have announced their nominations for the 2022 Razzies, and the field is led by Diana the Musical, a pair of nods each for LeBron James and Amy Adams, and a whole category devoted to Bruce Willis’ execrable year.

The stage is set in the Worst Picture category, which has honored (?) the Netflix version of the ill-fated Broadway show Diana, the Musical, as well as the confusing Mark Wahlberg vehicle Infinite, the BET Original horror story Karen, WarnerMedia’s branding exercise in search of a plot, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and Amy Adams’ Hitchcock retread The Woman in the Window.

Adams herself was nominated for Worst Actress for The Woman in the Window, as well as Worst Supporting Actor for her work in Dear Evan Hansen. And while James may be one of the two greatest basketball players in history, his acting career hasn’t gotten off to quite the same stellar start, picking up a Worst Actor nom and a Worst Screen Couple nom, the latter of which he shares with Any Warner Cartoon Character (or Time-Warner Product) He Dribbles On.

While Diana the Musical may top all other contenders with nine nominations, Bruce Willis isn’t that far behind. The special category Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie sees the Die Hard actor competing against himself for eight separate movies: American Siege, ApexCosmic Sin, Deadlock, Fortress, Midnight in the Switchgrass, Out of Death, and Survive the Game. Eight Bruce Willis’ fighting each other? Sounds like the perfect premise for a 2023 Razzie winner.

The Razzies will be awarded on March 26th, which is not coincidentally the day before the Academy Awards. Check out the full ignominious list of nominees below, and scroll onward for a Razzie Awards trailer that pokes fun at Don’t Look Up.

Last year’s Razzies honored such theatrical luminaries as Rudy Giuliani and his untucked shirt in Borat, the My Pillow guy, and pop superstar Sia.
