Missy Elliott, Ozuna, Wizkid, and Anderson .Paak to Perform at First-Ever LetsGetFr.ee Carnaval
Missy Elliott, Wizkid, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, and Ozuna have been announced as performers at LetsGetFr.ee Carnaval, a new “diversity-focused” music festival from Matthew Morgan (the founder and former head of Afropunk), Jocelyn Cooper, and the creative agency Anomaly. The lineup also includes Aluna, Ferg, Beenie Man, Bomba Estéreo, El Alfa, Flatbush Zombies, Jhené Aiko, Jorja Smith, Kali Uchis, Lido Pimienta, Mr Eazi, and Raveena. The event is set to take place in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York on August 20 and 21. Check out the lineup in the poster below.
Missy Elliott was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last November. That month, Ozuna and Kali Uchis shared a new song called “Another Day in America.” In December, Wizkid dropped a new song with Burna Boy called “B. d’Or.” Anderson .Paak was last seen playing drums in the house band at Super Bowl LVI; Silk Sonic, his group with Bruno Mars, released a cover of “Love’s Train” on Valentine’s Day.
