Aaron Camper first gained momentum under his new alias Camp with his November release Therapy.
The Salisbury, Maryland, native demands more respect and attention from music enthusiasts with Process, the second installment in his trilogy EP series. For the EP, Camp brings Kenneth “NSFR” Wright back in as co-executive producer.
The seven-track project has a vibrant sound that focuses more on elevating the direction of current R&B that chronicles the thoughts of someone who’s gone through different versions of love.
The most special song is “Ivkyk,” grounded in a piano and other unhurried arrangements that make excellent mood music.
Camp tells Rated R&B that his Process EP was inspired by “vulnerability and tension of expression.”
He added, “It stops becoming about hits, charting, and any and everything else, and more about going through your journey that’s connected directly to your craft.”
Championing the courageousness that goes into seeking therapy to heal through the past, present, and future, Camp knows that the true gateway to him “processing and becoming” who he is has and will always be music.
“I believe telling your stories in real-time will always be a man’s ‘all-time go-to’ in expression,” he declared to Rated R&B.
Last year’s Therapy had two singles (“Heavy” and “Issues”) precede its arrival, both of which were produced by Anikan & Vader.
