Weezer have released an uplifting new single called “A Little Bit of Love.”
Jangly ukulele and harmonica get the tune started before broader instrumentation kicks in, as frontman Rivers Cuomo sings:
“A little bit, a little bit of love / Goes a pretty long way / Take a look at where you started from / And where you are today / You climbed mountains, swam oceans / You got knocked down, and kept going / In the end you know you’ve got to say / A little bit of love goes a pretty long way.”
The positive vibe of the track continues from there, with Cuomo singing about rising above adversity and spreading joy to those around you.

The song arrives ahead of SZNZ: Spring, the first of four EPs Weezer will put out in 2022. Each release is inspired by the seasons, meaning the following EPs will be Summer, Autumn and Winter. SZNZ: Spring, appropriately enough, arrives on March 20, the spring equinox, a trend you can also expect to continue with the other EPs.
“This year we’re releasing four EPs inspired by magic, Pagan myths, religious rituals, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Shakespeare and more (so much more),” the band tweeted when announcing the project, promising that each EP “will take you on an enchanting journey.”
Weezer will be playing a handful of U.S. festivals — including the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Boston Calling and Southern California’s Beachlife Festival — before heading to Europe for dates alongside Green Day and Fall Out Boy, a continuation of their Hella Mega Tour.
