Charli XCX has dropped her much-anticipated album, CRASH.
CRASH is the English artist’s fifth studio album. The project departs from her previous hyperpop sound and ventures more into the realms of dance-pop.

The 12-track record features Christine and The Queens, Caroline Polachek and Rina Sawayama.
Ahead of the album’s release, the artist released her fourth and final single for the album, “Baby,” accompanied by a music video directed by Imogene Strauss and Luke Orlando.
In an Apple Music 1 interview with Zane Lowe, Charli XCX revealed how experiences such as failed relationships and friendships helped her create CRASH.
“People do fall out of relationships, people do lose friends, etc.,” Charli says. “And that’s really happened on many levels for me doing this album.”
She continued to talk about the comforting nature of pop music for herself as well as others.
“I like that with pop music, the listener can apply the meaning to their own life and experience grief or a breakup or love in their own way and apply it to their personal situation,” she adds. “When I listen to this album back, I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, this is so specific to me.’”
Charli will kick off her North American tour this month in Oakland, California.
Following the finale of the North American tour, Charli XCX will embark on a European with supporting acts such as Baby Tate, ELIO, Yeule, Magdalena Bay and A.G. Cook.
