Dave Grohl has released an entire metal EP under the name Dream Widow. Dream Widow are, of course, the fictional band from Foo Fighters‘ horror-comedy Studio 666.

The band first leaped off the screen and into reality in February when Grohl unveiled the thrashing “March Of The Insane.”

In the movie, Dave Grohl is possessed by the former frontman of Dream Widow who got a little too into the occult, ultimately murdering his entire band before they could finish their record.

Although Dream Widow in real life were seemingly conceived as part of an elaborate bit, Dream Widow is a pretty legitimate EP. It contains eight tracks that leave listeners wanting more heaviness from the band.

Listen to Dream Widow below, and let us know what you think. Should Dave Grohl and co. dive headfirst into the metal scene?
