‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Disney+ series will drop two episodes on release date

The Obi-Wan Kenobi limited series has updated its release date from May 25 to May 27.

Although fans have to wait two more days to see the show, Disney+ will release the first two episodes for the premiere. They will then release subsequent episodes of the show each Wednesday.

Obi-Wan Kenobi himself, Ewan McGregor, announced the news on the official Star Wars Twitter account. Before making the announcement, he said, “Hello, Star Wars fans. Thank you for all of your incredible support and response to Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

Obi-Wan Kenobi begins 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. In the iconic film (as described by Disney+), “Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat — the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.”
