Murphy will also be reunited with writers Rupinder Gill and David West Read, who she previously worked with on the Emmy-winning series Schitt’s Creek.

According to Deadline, “Witness Protection centers on a woman who has always defined herself by her romantic relationships, but when she is forced to enter witness protection, she must try to figure out who she really is for the first time while maintaining her cover and keeping the criminals at bay.”

Outside of her music career, Brownstein is also known for co-creating, writing and starring in the series Portlandia. The sketch comedy series aired for eight seasons. Brownstein won both a Peabody and a WGA Award for her work on the show.
